Join us for a night of awards and recognition as we celebrate this year's chapter successes. We will hear from local BEST Award winners and recognize chapter volunteers. Dinner will be served and is included in the cost of the event.

BEST Award Speakers

Cbeyond is the #7 BEST Award winner for 2011. Come hear from their learning leaders:

Susan Mitnick, Senior Director, Training, has over 25 years of combined sales, sales management and sales training experience. Susan Mitnick has led business to business sales training organizations at both MCI and Cbeyond. In her current role she has built a multi-faceted training program for the company’s sales force of over 700 direct sales representatives and managers and overseen the development of the learning strategies for all of Cbeyond's sales channels. Ms Mitnick is also responsible for the execution of the learning and development strategy for corporate-based personnel, with a heavy focus in driving Cbeyond’s culture to learn continuously.

Ms Mitnick is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising; Los Angeles, California

Nicole Ashe serves as Director, Cbeyond University for Cbeyond. In this role, Ms Ashe uses her seventeen years professional experience as a Leader in Training and Organizational Development to move Cbeyond’s employees forward from a learning perspective.  Her expertise in change management, continuous improvement, team building and increasing customer satisfaction has benefited major organizations domestically and internationally including Bank of America, Wachovia Bank and Georgia Pacific.

 

Ms. Ashe is actively involved in a variety of leadership and mentoring activities. She currently serves as chairperson for Cbeyond's Women's Network (CWN), an organization designed to foster professional development for Cbeyond women.

 

Ms. Ashe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics and Business & Child Development from South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC.

 

 

Gary Whitney is Vice President of Hotel Learning at Intercontinental Hotels Group.  Gary has been with IHG the past 13 years in various facilitation, design, and learning leadership roles. Gary holds a MS from Purdue University and a BS from Southwest State University.  

Cheryl Ross is Director of Global HR Information Delivery at InterContinental Hotels Group.  She has held various operations, facilitation, learning technology and leadership roles during her 17 years with IHG. Cheryl holds a BA degree from Creighton University.
