What's the Buzz about Branding? -

What do Nike, Starbucks, and John Deere have in common? They all have strong brands. Business occurs person to person - even when it is electronic. Each time you interact at work or with clients you leave an impression - this impression is your brand.

Your brand helps differentiate you, gives you and your organization reputational power, and improves your perceived value within your organization and to the community at large.

Others define you on a daily basis through your interactions with them in meetings, via e-mail, through the social media and through community activities. It is up to you to manage that perception – your brand.  Do you know what your brand is?

This session will introduce the differences between executive and personal branding, the components of any strong brand, and techniques on how to live your brand.

Facilitated by Allison Erhler-Meyer.

“ I want to help people and organizations create the zest for life my dog’s have when I ask – do you want to go for a ride?” This is Allison’s brand – she lives her core value of helping others define and live their passions, their values – their brand.

Allison is a Senior Manager at North Highland Consulting. She is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, team effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, transformational change and personal branding.

Allison has held a variety of positions from director of a not-for-profit organization, an operations and call center senior leader, to Vice President of Organization and Employee Development at Wachovia Corporation. She has also served as an organization effectiveness consultant and executive coach for Fortune 100 companies, Government Agencies and not-for profits for the past 10 years.

Some of the companies Allison has worked with are: John Deere, Coca-Cola, MillerCoors, Home Depot, GlaxoSmithKline, Albemarle, Mirion Technologies, Los Alamos Nuclear Labs, Wachovia Corporation, Emory University and Research Institute and Cobb Energy. These varied roles of leading operational and human capital functions, along with her ongoing involvement with The International Coaching Federation, give her a unique and energizing perspective on how to lead organizations through large-scale change, and groups or individuals through personal development and transitions.

Allison holds a Masters in Science from the University of Georgia in Human Resources and Organization Development and is working on a certification in Global Management and Communication. In addition, she studied global diversity at the University of Manchester in Manchester, England, as part of a joint program with the University of Georgia.

Currently, Allison is the Treasurer of the Board for Culture Connect, Inc. an agency that provides translation and mentoring services to immigrants and refugees and is an Area Representative for Pacific Cultural Exchange, a program supporting young leaders living abroad to learn the cultures of other countries.
