STRATEGIES FOR EXPLORING POD-CASTING and VOD-CASTING

Have you ever thought about building a library of pod-casts or vod-casts for learners within your organization? What would it involve compared to more traditional asynchronous deliverables? What tools would you use to get started?

During this world café session we’ll explore the above questions and give you what you need to start building your own pod-casting project plan.

We will also discuss the answers to these questions:

  • What are the benefits of pod-casting and potential applications within my organization?
  • What are practical ways to introduce pod-casting and vod-casting on limited budgets/resources?
  • What audiences can I best leverage this delivery/format with, and how do I incorporate it into the larger organizational training strategy?
  • What initial steps do I need to take to begin producing deliverables within this space?

Participants will walk away with helpful resources to streamline their start-up and project planning efforts!

Refreshments & Networking from 6:00-6:30

Facilitated by Robb Bingham, Learning Strategy and Execution (M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction, University of South Florida).  Mr. Bingham has received numerous awards for helping companies get strategic with training – especially in the space where learning intersects with communications and performance improvement. A decade ago, he was recognized for helping a telecommunications company save $3.7M with one of his blended training solutions. This past year he was recognized by UnitedHealth Group for saving over $500K with a Training Innovation Award for Best Performance Improvement Measures.

Mr. Bingham has served organizations in a number of different roles, from Trainer, Designer, Developer, and Producer, to Team Lead, National Curriculum Manager, and External Consultant. However, he most enjoys helping start-up and new initiative teams work together developing new, creative solutions to relevant business problems using a framework he coined - Converging Solutions Problem Solving Model. He currently serves as the Training Director for the Life Sciences business within OptumInsight in Minneapolis, MN.
