21st Century Skills: Can You Develop Creative and Critical Thinking Skills in the Workplace?

Workplace surveys continue to confirm an increasing skill gap in 21st Century skills. Of these skills, critical thinking has been identified as the most crucial to workforce preparedness and business success today and in the future. The reason critical thinking skills are taking on greater importance is in large part because of the rapid pace of change in business, followed by global competitiveness. Businesses are challenged with hiring and developing employees at every level of the organization who can think critically, solve problems and innovate.

Can critical thinking skills be developed or are people born with them? What can organizations do to foster and develop critical thinking skills? Dr. Bill Haney, an authority on creative and critical thinking skills, will lead you through an assessment and challenge of your own critical thinking skills, while teaching you what you can do to develop them in others.

Dr. Bill Haney

Dr. Bill Haney is the Lead Professor for the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs in Organizational Leadership at Brenau University, and the former Dean of the College of Business and Mass Communication.
